William N. “Bill” Loss, 75, of rural Middleburg, passed away shortly after midnight on Tuesday, May 13, in his home.
He was born July 27, 1949, in Lewisburg, the son of the late Robert and Arlene (Keister) Loss. Bill was a 1967 graduate of Middleburg High School. He began working at Yorktowne Cabinets, in Mifflinburg, while still in school and continued employment there until his retirement.
He attended the Beavertown God’s Missionary Church and was a member of the NRA and the Middleburg Moose Lodge. Bill enjoyed playing cards, shooting pool, racing and dining out. He was a social person who enjoyed people and followed Susquehanna University Sports.
Surviving is his son, Matthew, and Bill’s longtime companion companion and friend, Elaine Martin.
He was preceded in death by a son Shane.
A viewing will be held on Friday, May 16, from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Beavertown God’s Missionary Church, 1653 Creek Road, Middleburg, followed by the funeral at 11 with Pastors James Plank, Solomon Shaffer, Nick Rine and Cameron Going officiating.
Burial will be in the Penns Creek Union Cemetery.
Contributions to honor Bill’s memory may be made to the Beavertown God’s Missionary Church.
