Ronald F. Dittmer

Ronald F. Dittmer, 84, of rural Middleburg, passed away on Thursday, March 13, at his home.

He was born November 24, 1940, in Highland Park, Michigan, a son of the late Frederick and Marion (Schirmer) Dittmer.

He was married to the former Minerva Caceres, who survives.

Ronald was a career serviceman, serving 27 years in the United States Navy before retiring with the rank of Chief Petty Officer E7.

He was a life member of VFW Post 5640, Middleburg, enjoyed woodworking, doing crafts as well was hunting, fishing and camping.

Surviving in addition to his wife is a son, Ronald Dittmer; two daughters, Linda (Jim) Kerstetter and Donna (Rick) Daniels; seven grandchildren, Ryan, Reid, Steven, Michael, James, Jessica and Tracey; as well as numerous great grandchildren; brothers Dennis Dittmer, John (Roz) Dittmer, and Brian (Jeannie) Dittmer, he was preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy, and a sister-in-law Linda Dittmer.

A service to celebrate his life will be announced at a later date.
