Rev. David A. Howell

Rev. David A. Howell, 69, of Mt. Pleasant Mills, went to be with his Heavenly Father on March 10, 2026, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

David was the son of Lulu R. (Collins) and Albert E. Howell.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Joanna R. Howell, who went to be with her Lord and Savior on Jan. 9, 2022; a sister Donna J. (Howell) Bowman and a first son in infancy.

He leaves behind a son, Matthew D. Howell; his loving sister, Wanda M. (Howell) Bowman (husband Raymond) of Lancaster; his brother Wesley E. Howell (wife Phyllis) of Philadelphia; and many nieces and nephews.

He was a man of many talents. In his early life he carpentered, worked for Flagger Force and Midd-West School District.

Funeral services will be held at Christian Union Church, 5230 PA-104, Mt. Pleasant Mills on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at 11 AM with Rev. Philip Brenizer and Rev. Alan Walter officiating. A viewing will be from 10-11 AM.

Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant Mills, followed by a luncheon at the Christian Union Church Life Center.
