Phyllis M. Hosler, 74, of Beavertown, passed away on Sunday, September 14, 2025, at her home surrounded by loving family.Born on December 21, 1950, in Lewisburg, Phyllis was a daughter to the late Richard H. Weikel and Frances E. (Ettinger) Weikel. Phyllis was a 1968 graduate of Middleburg High School. Phyllis operated Lover Greenhouse in Charleroi, where she resided for many years. She also worked for The American Viscose, DMV, and Giant Eagle. A devoted gardener, she found peace and purpose tending to her flowers. She was just as comfortable in the woods or on the water, an avid hunter and fisher who cherished time spent in nature. Her kitchen was a place of comfort and connection — she was a gifted cook who brought people together over meals made with love. But above all, Phyllis’s greatest joy came from her family. She adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and her love for them was evident in every story told, and every hug given. Phyllis was also a published poet. Through her writing, she captured the emotions, memories, and the beauty of life in words. Phyllis is survived by two daughters, Stacie Long (Donald Jr.) of Lancaster and Gail Boritz (Charles) of Beavertown; brother Ronald Weikel (Nicole) of Middleburg; sisters in law Bonnie Weikel and Bonnie Kyle; six grandchildren Elizabeth Wilson (Brinton), Rebecca Long, Logan Long, Katie Long, Olivia Boritz, and Sophia Boritz; and six great grandchildren, Landon Carty, Owen Wilson, Jackson Wilson, Cayde Wilson, Brinleigh Wilson, and Carson Roland. In addition to her parents, Phyllis was preceded in death by two brothers, Ricky R. and Gary L. Weikel. A visitation will be held on Friday, September 19, 2025, from 12-1 PM at Grace Reformed Church of Troxelville, 8170 Troxelville Road, Troxelville where the funeral service will begin at 1 PM with Rev. Dwight Rine officiating. Burial will follow in Troxelville Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Geisinger Hospice. 1253 N Susquehanna Trail Suite 102, Selinsgrove, PA 17870 or to American Cancer Society, www.cancer.org. Arrangements by Hummel Funeral Home, 574 Hill Street, Middleburg.
