Richfield - Michael D. Pretz, 81, of Richfield, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 27, at his home.
He was born July 4, 1944, in Aline, Snyder County, a son of the late J. Paul and Julia (Snyder) Pretz. On Oct. 4, 1962, he married the former Louise E. Wenrich, who survives.
Michael had been employed as a truck driver for various firms, with his longest employment being with Pennsylvania House in Lewisburg for 30 years.
He was a member of the Millerstown Loyal Order of the Moose.
He enjoyed hunting, but the greatest enjoyment in his life came from horses, which he cared for and raised on his hobby farm.
Surviving in addition to his wife of 63 years are two daughters, Wendy Adams and Annette (Shawn) Hubbert; a son, David (Jennifer) Pretz; seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and a sister Phyllis Fultz.
He was preceded in death by a sister Lottie Korber, and a brother, Norman Pretz;
A viewing will be held on Monday, Dec. 1, from 10 until 11 a.m. at the Hummel Funeral Home, 574 Hill St. Middleburg, followed by the funeral at 11, with Rev. Daryl M. Kuhns officiating.
Burial will be in the Paxtonville Cemetery.
