Maxine L. Wagner, 86, of rural Middleburg, passed away on Saturday evening at Brookdale Grayson View, Selinsgrove.
She was born June 27, 1939, in Shamokin, a daughter of the late John and Blanche Vera (DeWalt) Homiak. She was a 1959 graduate of Sunbury High School and on Oct. 7, 1961, she married Richard R. “Bimbo” Wagner, who preceded her in death on April 6, 2014.
Maxine had worked in retail stores, including JJ Newberry, Ames and A-Plus stores. She also worked at NiteCraft and retired from CVS, working in different area stores.
She was a member of St. Paul’s “Erdley’s” Lutheran Church, Middleburg.
Maxine was a NASCAR fan and enjoyed traveling, especially to Las Vegas. During her lifetime, her dogs brought her much joy.
She was the last of her immediate family.
A viewing will be held on Sunday, Jan. 11, from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Hummel Funeral Home, 574 Hill St., Middleburg, followed by a funeral service at 2 with Pastor Scott Benfer officiating.
Entombment will be in Erdley’s Church Cemetery, Middleburg.
