Martin Roger Horne, 78, passed away peacefully at home on April 23, 2026, with family by his side.
Born August 19, 1947, in Bloomsburg, PA, he was the son of the late Carl E Horne and the Elinor (Eckroth) Horne, both of Bloomsburg.
Marty attended Philadelphia College of Textile Sciences where he received a degree in Textile Engineering and then graduated with a master's from the Institute of Textile Technology. He spent his career working as a plant manager at many textile mills, most recently retiring from Runnerless Knits in Sunbury, PA in 2009.
He is survived by his loving wife, Carol Horne, his sister Diane (Donald) Chester, sons Matthew Horne and Jeffrey Horne, daughter Stephanie (Rick) Pinho; stepchildren, Michael Reber and Sharon Grover. Marty had a special place in his heart for his grandchildren, Samual Horne, Cooper Horne, Madeleine Pinho, Julian Pinho, and step-grandson Jonathan Pinho.
Marty cared deeply for family and friends and would do anything for anyone who needed it. Marty's legacy of love and friendship will be cherished by his family and all who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
A celebration of life will be scheduled at the family's convenience.
