Lorraine K. Long, 72, of Middleburg, passed away on Monday morning, March 24, 2025, at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville.
She was born Dec. 14, 1952, in Lewisburg, a daughter of the late Donald and Jean (Hackenberg) Shambach. Lorraine was a 1970 graduate of Middleburg High School. On Jan. 31, 1976, she married Ivan E. Long, who survives.
She had been employed for more than 30 years at the Manor at Penn Village, Selinsgrove, in housekeeping.
She enjoyed doing word searches and puzzle books and especially dining out.
Surviving in addition to her husband of 49 years, is a sister, Mary Shambach; sisters-in-law Nancy Bowersox and Donna Betsker, and nieces.
She was preceded in death by brothers Kenneth Betsker and Earl Bowersox.
At Lorraine’s request, there will be no viewing.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Thursday, March 27, 2025, at the Hummel Funeral Home, 574 Hill St., Middleburg, with Roger Clotfelter officiating.
Burial will follow in Zion Church Cemetery, Middleburg.
