Linda C. Zechman, 76, of Creek Road, Middleburg, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2025, at her home surrounded by her family.
Born July 21, 1949, in Lewistown, daughter of Betty Ewing Mattern and the late Malvin Mattern, Jr.
Linda was a 1967 graduate of West Snyder High School. On Sept. 27, 1969, she married Paul F. Zechman who survives.
Earlier in her life, she was employed at Kline Motors and Kinney Shoe, both of Beaver Springs. She retired as an aide at West Snyder High School.
Linda was a member of Beavertown God’s Missionary Church.
She served as a Sunday school teacher, was a Deaconess, and helped with church suppers.
She was active along with her husband at the Rescue Hose Fire Company, Beavertown, helping with their easter egg and donut sales, also with the fire company suppers.
She enjoyed crocheting and quilting, camping, and family butcherings. Linda was a great cook and baker, but her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren.
Surviving in addition to her husband of 56 years and her mother of McClure, is a son, Michael (Heather) Zechman of Middleburg; a daughter, Rhonda (Nicholas) Yoder of New Columbia; and four grandchildren, Hayleigh and Collin Zechman, and Wyatt and Brynn Yoder.
She was preceded in death by a son in infancy.
A viewing will be held on Friday, Jan. 2, 2026, from 6-8 PM at Beavertown God’s Missionary Church, 1693 Creek Road, Middleburg and again on Saturday, Jan. 3, 2026, from 10-10:45 AM where the funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM with Rev. John Zechman and Rev. Solomon Shaffer officiating.
Burial will be in Beavertown God’s Missionary Church Cemetery
