Jeremiah E. Smith, 20, Lakeview, S.D.
Jeremiah Edward Smith, age 20, passed away on Jan. 28, 2025, due to a kayaking accident. 
He was born Aug. 6, 2004, to Daniel and LaDawn (Keister) Smith  of Lakeview, S.D.    
His passion was to tell others about Jesus wherever he went. He was preparing to do mission work in the Far North as a bush pilot.
Surviving in addition to his parents are his siblings Daniel (Amber), John, Hannah, Esther, Joanna, Isaiah, and Ivah Smith, all of Lakeview, S.D., Sarah (Hipolito) Padilla, of Cooperstown, Pa., Genessa and Aubrey, chosen sisters, and a cherished nephew, Buddy, and grandparents, Thomas and Linda Mitchell, and Darlene Keister of Middleburg, Pa., and David Keister of Mifflinburg, Pa., along with many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, John Edward Smith.
Visiting hours will be from 1-3 p.m., with a  memorial service at 3 at  the Beavertown God's Missionary Church,  1693 Creek Rd, Middleburg, Pa., on Feb. 18, 2025.  The family will receive additional visitation from 6-8 p.m. at  the  Bates Center, same address.
