Jean P. Riegel, 82, Middleburg, passed away on Monday, May 26, 2025, at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville. She was born Jan. 6, 1943, in Paxtonville, a daughter of the late Harry and Marie (Mitchell) Renninger.
Jean was a 1961 graduate of Middleburg High School. She had been employed in Tupperware sales, the Selinsgrove radio station, Coal’s Hardware and the Centre Township Dumpster and Recycling. She had been a social member of the Mifflinburg VFW post and the Penns Creek Volunteer Fire Company.
Jean will be remembered as a people person. She loved talking to people and socializing. Surviving is a son, Brian Soles; a daughter Cindy Ream; two grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and a brother, Richard Renninger.
She was preceded in death by her longtime companion, Frank Keister; a sister, Anna Reigel, and a brother, Donald Renninger.
A viewing will be held on Friday, May 30, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Hummel Funeral Home, 574 Hill St., Middleburg. Burial will be later in the Penns Creek Union Cemetery.
