Harold E. Keister

Harold E. Keister, 64, of Harrisburg passed away on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at Penn State Holy Spirit Hospital in Camp Hill. He was born on January 22, 1961, in Lewisburg, a son of the late Donald and Dorothy (Baney) Keister. Harold was a 1979 graduate of West Snyder High School. Following culinary school, he was employed as a chef at various restaurants. He enjoyed traveling, going on cruises and cooking. His greatest joy came from his family.

Surviving are four sisters, Elizabeth Mitch, Mary Haines, Amy Keister, and Judy Keister, one brother Paul Keister, fifteen nieces and nephews, twenty great-nieces and nephews, and a great-nephew expected in May.

He was preceded in death by a niece and a nephew.

A viewing will be on held on Saturday, February 15, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Hummel Funeral Home, 574 Hill Street, Middleburg followed by a service to celebrate his life at 11:00 a.m.

Burial will be in the Troxelville Union Cemetery, Troxelville. The family suggests contributions to defray funeral expenses instead of flowers.
