Grace Hollenbach Obituary

Grace L. “Gracie” Hollenbach, 79 of Kreamer passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 2, 2026 at the Manor at Penn Village, Selinsgrove where she had resided since 2022.

She was born August 18, 1946 in Kreamer, a daughter of the late Milton M. and Jean E. (Lenig) Dauberman.  On February 28, 1964 she married the love of her life, Ronald E. Hollenbach, who preceded her in Death on December 12, 2020; breaking a marital union of 56 years.

Gracie was a member of the Middleburg High School Class of 1964.  She began her working career out of High School by babysitting the local kids from Kreamer at her residence, and then worked at the Dress Factory in Selinsgrove.  In 1972, she started her longtime career at Middleburg Elementary School, working in the Cafeteria until her retirement in 2010.  She was well-remembered by many generations of Elementary students as “Lunch Lady Gracie” and “Gram”.  She would often go out of her way to make sure that every child that went through her line was fed a Lunch, even if it meant paying for it out of her own pocket (a stunt which did get her in trouble a time or two).

Above all, Gracie loved her Lord and Family the most.  Family was of the utmost importance to her.  Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her world.

Besides her parents and husband, Gracie was preceded in death by a sister, Audrey, in infancy.

Gracie is survived by daughters Susan Hollenbach, of Middleburg and Beth (Leonard) Port and husband Jim, of Huntingdon.  Grandchildren; Kevin Hood, of Kreamer, Kyle and wife Acacia, of Eagleville, PA, Allison Freese, of Phoenixville, PA, and George Boyd, of Huntingdon, PA.  Great-Grandchildren; Sawyer and Logan Hood, of Eagleville, PA, Laini, Graci, and Ella Freese and Joe “Joe Joe” Bucci, all of Phoenixville, PA and Alex “Pete”, Izzy, Max, and Aurora Boyd, all of Huntingdon.  Sister; Jane Moyer, of Middleburg.  Nephew; Shannon Moyer and Sara Bailey, of Kreamer.  Brother-in-Law; Earl and Sherry Hollenbach, of Selinsgrove.  Extended Family; Gary, Stacey, and Ashlynn Hood, of Middleburg.

A very huge and special “Thank You” to all of Gracie’s care givers over the past years.  Your love and support was greatly appreciated.  Another very special “Thank You” goes out to the Kreamer, Reliance Hose Company, and DH&L Ambulance crews for your quick responses and always being there on the other end of the many 911 calls during her years at home.

Visitation with the Family will be held on Friday, April 10th 2026 at Hummel Funeral Home, Middlburg from 10 am to 11am, with the Funeral beginning at 11am.  Burial will be in Globe Mills Cemetery, Kreamer.
