Ernest Raymond Kriner, age 82, of Central Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2025. Born on July 13, 1942, Ernest was a beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, whose life was marked by dedication to both his family and his faith.
Ernest enjoyed a long and fulfilling career as a machine operator at Ingersoll-Rand, where he was known for his skill and commitment. His work ethic and integrity were evident in all aspects of his life.
A devoted member of the Sayre Pilgrim Holiness Church, Ernest served as a board member for most of his life, demonstrating his deep commitment to his faith community. After retiring, he and his late wife, Joyce Ann Kriner, moved to Central Pennsylvania, where they continued their spiritual journey by attending God’s Missionary churches in their area.
Ernest was predeceased by his loving wife, Joyce, and a son, Ernest Leonard Kriner.
He is survived by his children, Michelle (Greg Wrightsman) Wrightsman, Kevin (Shannon Hurley) Kriner, and Keith (Frank Fraser) Kriner; grandchildren Alissa (Jason Black) Black, Holly (Christian Walker) Walker, Austin (Sarah Kriner) Kriner, and Kinslee Kriner; and great-grandchildren Addison Walker, Kira Walker, Scarlett Walker, and Wrenly Kriner.
Ernest’s legacy is one of unwavering faith, dedication to his family, and a life well-lived. He will be remembered fondly by all who knew him, and his memory will continue to inspire those who were touched by his kindness and generosity.
A graveside service celebrating Ernest’s life will be held at Tioga Point Cemetery, Athens, PA on Thursday, March 13, 2025, at 2 pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Sunbury God’s Missionary Church, 900 Susquehanna Ave., Sunbury, PA 17801, in his honor.
