Donna L. Mitchell

Donna Lee (Yoder) Mitchell, 73, of Middleburg, peacefully passed away Monday, June 22, 2026, at Wellspan Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg, with her family by her side.

She was born June 14, 1953, in Lewisburg, a daughter of the late Donald and Shirley (Sanders) Yoder. She married the love of her life, Stanford Mitchell, on Feb. 27, 1970.

Donna worked for the CSIU with her fun-loving friend Fannie and for Choice Hotels where she retired.

She enjoyed attending her grandkids’ athletic events, was an avid birdwatcher, and enjoyed watching NASCAR and sprint car races. She also enjoyed traveling to Florida to visit family.

Donna is survived by her husband, Stanford Mitchell of Middleburg; two daughters, Tammy (Joseph) Stahl of Middleburg and Wendy (Roy) Leiby of Selinsgrove; four grandchildren Corbin Leiby, Keirra Lilley, Logan Leiby, and Nolan Stahl; and great-grandchildren Cash and Colsen Leiby, and Declan Lilley.

The family would like to thank Amanda and Abby from Wellspan Evangelical Community Hospital; Lanie, Jamie, and Susan from Residential Home Health; and Christina, her caregiver, for the care they provided.

She was preceded in death by her father Donald Yoder and mother Shirley (Sanders) Yoder.

Funeral services will be held privately at Hummel Funeral Home, 574 Hill Street, Middleburg. Her final resting place will be in Northumberland Memorial Park, Stonington.
