David L. Crossgrove

David L. Crossgrove, 39, Freeburg, passed away Friday, June 6, 2025, at Mountainview Nursing and Rehab Center.

He was born Dec. 2, 1985, in Sunbury, a son of Dennis L. Crossgrove, of Beaver Springs, and Judy L. (McCreary) Strawser, of Freeburg.

David was a 2003 graduate of Middleburg High School and the SUN Vo-Tech.

He had been employed as a bus driver for Midd-West School District. David enjoyed fishing and hunting and at one time was active with the Fremont Fire Company Police Auxiliary.

Surviving in addition to his parents are a brother, Jeffrey Crossgrove and his companion Clara Ross; four step-brothers Jeremiah (Andy) Showalter III, John Showalter, Justin Showalter and James Showalter; his step-father Kenneth Strawser; and step-mother Kathy Crossgrove.

Celebration of Life Gathering Saturday, June 21, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Grace Covenant Community Church, 94 Cafe Lane, Middleburg. Arrangements are by Hummel Funeral Home, 574 Hill St., Middleburg.
