Cathy A. Keister, 64, of Beavertown, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 9, at Grandview Nursing and Healthcare in Danville.
She was born May 4, 1961, in Lewisburg, a daughter of the late Palmer Sr. and Anna Lou (Decker) Gemberling. On July 30, 1977, she married Larry R. Keister, who survives.
She had been employed for 23 years at HiLi in Penns Creek.
Cathy enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, playing cards and collecting jewelry, as well as going to auctions and sales. The greatest joy in her life were her grandchildren.
Surviving in addition to her husband is a daughter, Mandy Trawitz; two sons, Bradley Keister and his wife Tori Keister and Beau Keister and his companion SheRa Richard; seven grandchildren, Christopher Trawitz Jr. and his wife Jaylynn Trawitz, Blake Gudonis, Whitney Gudonis, VioletGrace Ortiz, Rockell Keister, Kanon Keister and Kandyce Richard; two great-grandchildren Kinsley and Truit Trawitz, and two brothers John Gemberling and Steve Gemberling.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Palmer Gemberling Jr.
A service celebrating her life will be announced later.
