Carol R. Catlin, 84, of Kreamer, entered into the presence of her Lord and Saviour at her home, lovingly surrounded by her family on the evening of January 7, 2026.
Carol was born in Oriental on October 11, 1941. Carol graduated from Middleburg Joint High School in 1959 and married James P. Catlin III, October 20, 1963. Her passing breaks a beautiful marital union of 62 years.
She worked a few years in various silk mills in the area and at the Kreamer Christian Academy. She poured her heart and soul into being a homemaker, a caregiver, and being a wonderful, loving, mother to her 5 children. Carol lived for the Lord and was a great Christian example. She had a heart of gold and was loved by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her sons Jeffrey A. Catlin of Kreamer, Christopher L. Catlin (Holly) of Middleburg, and Steven C. Catlin (Cathy) of Middleburg; a daughter, Angela S. Longacre (Brad) of Selinsgrove. Brothers James Landis (Kitty) of Middleburg, Aaron Landis (Pat) of Middleburg, and Carey Landis (Tina) of Middleburg.
In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by a son James P. Catlin IV; sisters Gloria Bordner, Deanna Sizer, and Gayle Hauck; a brother Arden Landis; and a granddaughter, Ashley Catlin.
Carol was the most caring, and loving, "Mammy" to her 9 grandchildren, Amber, Ashley, Adam, Taylor Travis, Alyssa, Brooke, Courtney, and Cameron, and to her 10 great grandchildren.
Carol will be sadly missed by the many people who knew and loved her. Her departure from this earth will leave this world a little darker but make heaven a whole lot brighter.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at Bible Baptist Church, Kreamer, beginning at 1:00 PM with Pastor David Dressler officiating.
