Boyd Reffeor Obituary

Boyd “Skip” Reffeor, 76, of Weikert, Pennsylvania, went to be with the Lord on February 7, 2026.

Skip graduated from Shikellamy High School and proudly served in the United States Navy from 1967 to 1974. Following his military service, he worked as a maintenance mechanic at Celotex in Sunbury for 28 years, retiring in 2009.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Connie Reffeor, and their beloved dog, Gus.  Daughter Jennifer Plank and husband Matthew, of Danville, PA; granddaughter Whitney Krutsick and husband Matthew; great-granddaughters Ella and Chandler Krutsick; and step-grandchildren Alivia and Logan Plank, all of Danville, PA.  Son Command Sergeant Major Jonathan Reffeor and wife Jennifer, currently stationed at Joint Base Lewis McChord, WA; grandchildren Jordan and Isabella Reffeor.  Stepdaughter Melissa Golden and husband Scott, of Selinsgrove, PA; grandchildren McKenzie Cook and husband Derrick, Alexis Loss and husband Tyler, and Tanner Golden; and great-grandchildren Jace and Vivian.  Stepson Michael Egan and wife Shannon, of Northumberland, PA; grandchildren Jacob, Wiley, and Rorey Egan.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Boyd and Kathryn Reffeor, and his brother, John “Jack” Reffeor.

Skip loved woodworking, antique shopping, cheering on the Phillies and Eagles, watching Penn State wrestling, hunting, and spending time with his family. He especially cherished vacations in the Caribbean with his wife.

Visitation will be held at United Lutheran Church on Saturday, February 21, 2026 from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m., with a service to follow at 11:00 a.m.  The address is 167 Seven Points Road, Sunbury, PA 17801.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the United Lutheran Church, American Cancer Society or the Wounded Warrior Project.
