Beatrice I. Zimmerman, 97, formerly of McClure, passed away on Sunday, May 10, at the William Penn Nursing Center, Lewistown.
Beatrice was born March 16, 1929, in West Beaver Township, Snyder County, a daughter of the late John and Marjorie (Maneval) Kahley.
She was a 1948 graduate of McClure High School.
She had been employed at the Bubb Shirt Factory and another garment factory in Lewistown.
She was a member of Mount Bethel Church in McClure.
Beatrice enjoyed bowling, knitting and crocheting and watching Wheel of Fortune.
Surviving is a daughter, Gloria Kratzer, of Middleburg; three grandchildren, Wayne (Teresa) Kratzer, Shane (Theresa) Kratzer and Nicole (Wayne) Sechrist; 12 great-grandchildren and 23 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, John Kratzer; and three great-grandchildren, Keaton Sechrist, Dayton Kratzer and Wayne Kratzer Jr.; a daughter, Etta Brown; a son-in-law, Kenneth E. Kratzer; and two brothers, James and Eugene Kahley.
A viewing will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, May 15, at Mount Bethel Church in McClure. Followed by the funeral at 4 p.m. with pastor Tad Schlegel officiating. Burial will be the McClure Union Cemetery.
