Barry D. Sheaffer, age 80, formerly of Dover, Pa., passed away on Sunday, March 30, at Bridges at Bent Creek, Mechanicsburg.
He was born June 12, 1944, in Freeburg, a son of the late Arthur and Luella (Betzer) Sheaffer. He was a 1962 graduate of Middleburg Joint High School. Following graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force, from where he was honorably discharged in 1966. He had been employed as a computer programer at Teledyne McKay. Barry enjoyed golfing, tennis and bowling and found a lot of pleasure in his dogs.
Surviving is a daughter, Adrienne C. (Ben) Wilson; one sister, Trina D. (Michael) Kerstetter; two brothers, Craig D. Sheaffer (Jonie Turley) and Zane A. (Delma) Sheaffer.
Graveside services will be conducted Saturday, April 5, 2025, at 11 a.m. in Fairview Cemetery, Mount Pleasant Mills with military honors by the Middle West Veterans Honor Guard.
