Alfred C. Dauberman, age 88, of Middleburg, passed away on Friday, Jan. 30, 2026, at his home.
He was born Aug. 13, 1937, at Beavertown, a son of the late John and Josephine (Knepp) Dauberman. Alfred was a farmer most of his life and he had also worked at Poloron Homes in Middleburg.
He loved anything related to John Deere tractors and he enjoyed gardening, butchering, watching Westerns on TV and took particular pride in caring for his lawn. He especially loved his family and was the family prankster.
Surviving are five siblings, Linda Newcomer, Jerry Dauberman, Carol Cook, Gloria Kratzer and Kenneth Dauberman, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by five brothers and sisters, Marjorie Mitch, John Dauberman Jr., Beatrice Guernsey, Robert Dauberman and June Yost.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, Feb. 5, from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Hummel Funeral Home, 574 Hill St., Middleburg, followed by the funeral at 11 with his nephew Jeremy Yost officiating.
Burial will be in the Cedar Hills Cemetery, Beavertown.
